Why won't you do anything fun for the camera? I will tend to accommodate one simple request for everyone, such as a wave or a thumbs up, or such. I'm usually working on something and will avoid doing anything that requires a lot of effort on my part. Other cams on the site might have people willing to be more entertaining.
