Controlling Music Remotely |

This page assumes you're trying to control your media player from a webpage interface. I'm going to make two blanket assumptions here.
First, the operating system that your music player resides on is Windows, and secondly, your music player is Winamp. You can definitely
do this with linux and xmms, and you might be able to do so under windows with other media players, but that will be beyond the
scope of this document.
No matter how you end up doing this, you're going to have to learn how to install a plugin under Winamp. WHICH plugin will depend on how you want to control the music. If you're just looking for a simple interface that you yourself or a select few people can use, and you're not too concerned about additional control or security features, you have plenty of options available. Webamp is a good option. This site however takes things one step deeper. |
