I think you summed it up pttery well with the last sentence. When I lived in a small town with a super small Asian population, I felt like being Asian was the only thing interesting about me. Now that I'm in an area with a big Asian population, I feel like people only ask so they can use a prepackaged set of assumptions because they can't be bothered to get to know me. And I'm guilty of assuming things about other people as well, so I'm glad you brought up this subject. I will try to be more conscious about this.Eve I think I went to high school with that sub-human's son. Someone also argued with me that I'm Chinese. At 16 years old, I found it so bizarre It's still so strange to me that I wasn't sure if it actually happened. I somehow find comfort in knowing that this wasn't an isolated incident because now I know I'm not crazy, LOL!
